Mixed Martial Arts fighter Conor McGregor was arrested on Monday by American police for allegedly smashing a fan’s cellular cellphone outside a Florida nightclub.
The 30-year-old vintage Irishman was charged with criminal mischief and strong-armed robbery after Miami police stated he allegedly slapped the phone out of the fan’s hand, after which he stomped on it.
The Miami Herald reported that Miami Beach police were called to the scene outside the LIV Nightclub at 5:00 am neighborhood time (2.30 pm IST).
The police began their investigation, and McGregor was arrested later that day at a nearby home and booked into the Miami-Dade jail. Bail was set at $12,500.
According to the arrest file, the fan tried to take a McGregor photo using his cellular smartphone, which was worth $1,000. After the fighter slapped it away and stomped on it, he took the cell phone without giving it again.
The robbery was stuck on surveillance cameras around the membership and the nearby Fontainebleau Hotel.
McGregor is a combined martial arts celebrity recognized for dropping to boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in a 2017 boxing fit.
McGregor was arrested for 12 months in New York after police said he attacked a constitution bus sporting numerous rival martial arts opponents, throwing a dolly through the window.
He pled guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to community service and an anger management path.
